Belvedere International School is a British Curriculum school with strong links to the United Kingdom (UK). We have an agreement with Belvedere Preparatory School in the UK to bring the school’s curriculum expertise and philosophy to our region. Established in 1880, Belvedere Preparatory School is a co-educational school, located in a historically rich area of Liverpool. With neighbouring Princes Park and nearby Sefton Park providing a leafy backdrop, it is one of the top independent schools in the UK.

School Logo

Our logo has reflected our past and our future. “Ad Vitam Paramus” is a Latin phrase which means “we are preparing for life”. We have also included a palm tree to reflect Al Ain, and ‘1880’ to represent the founding year of Belvedere Preparatory School in Liverpool.

We are an accredited member of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME). Formed in 1982, British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) provides a quality-assured network of schools helping Heads and Teachers share best practice and keep abreast of the latest educational developments. BSME runs its own Accreditation System, Annual Headteachers’ Conferences, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme of over 100 courses per year and a range of inter school sports, music, arts and other events.

We will also become accredited to The Council of British International Schools (COBIS). COBIS is a membership association of British International Schools of global quality and corporate Supporting Members. Representing over 500 member organisations, COBIS is a responsive organisation, open to current and future opportunities. The association has developed markedly since its foundation, changing to meet the needs and aspirations of its growing global school membership base.
COBIS hosts a range of conferences and professional development events, both ‘face to face’ and online, for teachers, middle leaders, and support staff as well as an Annual Conference in London in May for Heads, Governors (Board Members) and members of school Senior Leadership Teams. In addition to accessing high quality training, COBIS events provide excellent opportunities for the development of professional contacts and friendships.
